Hotel Goldenes Fass in Freudenberg

We ordered food to be picked up for a birthday party in mid-October and were completely satisfied! Price-performance ratio is very good! Food was delicious too. Roast beef with sauce, potato dumplings and red cabbage. For dessert there was chocolate mousse garnished with berries. Everything homemade and very tasty! The staff is very courteous and polite! Thank you, we'd love to come back!

Is quite old but okay. Beds could be a bit softer

Quite disorganized, rooms are not vacuumed, blinds defective, restaurant is just a tarte flambée bisto and is closed 2 days a week.

Highly recommended for short stays. They are all very friendly, trying hard to please the guests, the rooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast is great, there is even free tea and there is a drinks fridge available, from which you can help yourself for a fee.

Room needed renovation, e.g. old windows so the car noise from the bridge that runs right next to the hotel / room is quite loud! Service very friendly!

Everyone is amazingly friendly, helpful and nice. The guest should feel like they are on cloud nine and nothing should dissuade them, except climb stairs and get into bed, they can do that on their own. Otherwise everything is perfectly organized under the current circumstances! Breakfast is delicious, accommodation is clean, everything is just right. We would love to come back!

Not the most modern rooms but spacious and very clean. Breakfast great. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. From here you can make great excursions by bike. Unfortunately, it was a bit cumbersome to accommodate the ebikes, but if you let the staff know, there will soon be a better solution.

Unfortunately, we had rather worn rooms on the top floor with a shared shower for several other rooms and a shared toilet. Not wearable in Corona times! The room was noisy (traffic noise!). The outdoor terrace with a great view of the Main and the nice hospitality were good. The breakfast was also great: everything could be reordered. The service was nice, quick and uncomplicated. The top floor can only be reached via the staircase (70 steps !!).

Great location, super friendly staff, room very clean. Not 5 stars as the rooms are in need of renovation. But it doesn't detract from the feel-good factor!

The room was ugly, the carpeting was stained, the shower and toilet were in the hallway. Nevertheless, the price for one night for one person was just as high as in the hotels in Seligenstadt and Marktheidenfeld where I stayed the days before and after and which were much better.

The service is slightly restricted by Corona. There is only tarte flambée in the evening. However, this is excellent and you have a large selection of different savory and sweet variants.

We were able to relax very well after our mountain bike tour. The breakfast was also great and plentiful, so that we could continue our journey.

Staff friendly, rooms ok for short stays. Forgot a shirt there when I left and was forwarded to me without hesitation. Class! thanks for that

Breakfast ok Room was a little dated but clean. Unfortunately the restaurant was not open although I was told how I asked.

Managed hotel, nice location, sanitary facilities and room is not judged. WATER IS COLD FOR ALL GUESTS.

Very friendly staff / friendly owners, a good room - nice that you can sit on the small terrace right by the river with a beer or a glass of wine. Breakfast is also good and the service is informal. The price is really moderate.

Nicely located on the water, where there are also plenty of free parking spaces available. The room keys are continuously available via keyboy if the reception is no longer occupied. Breakfast is ok, family atmosphere and friendly staff.

Not a good hotel for stay for foreigners. Breakfast is bad and the there is no reception at this hotel. Nobody knows English here. It is a budget hotel but I wouldn't recommend this hotel for long stay.

Could use some improvements on staff. Some rooms are really small

The rooms are very spacious, I had requested a room with shared facilities, but they gave me a triple room with private bathroom, at no extra cost. Not bad, if I think the hotel and reception were closed when I arrived. Fortunately a couple helped me to contact the service to get the key from a safe. The brewery was closed.

Decent rooms. Reasonable price, from Sun or Mon 4 nights for three.
